Oh! And this idea called Thread of Assumptions, where I wrote an “assumption joke” for every team in the NBA, and some of them joined the fun in the replies.
NBA DRAFT 2022
With 45 seconds of broadcast time available, State Farm wanted an idea that merged their surprisingly great rates with truths around NBA Draft culture. This birthed Surprisingly Great Moments: highlighting a sleeper-pick’s surprising path to Rookie of the Year.
We had an idea called Draft-A-Jake, where we hire 50 Jake from State Farm lookalikes to all sit in a section, and after Round 1, one of them gets drafted. They picked this idea instead ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
